This list is a goldmine. As AI reshapes the engineering landscape, the value of 'soft skills' is skyrocketing. Communication, storytelling, and mentorship aren't just nice to haves anymore they're what separate engineers who write code from those who drive impact. Loved your article, thanks for sharing such an insightful point of view on which skills will help us stand out as engineers during this AI rise. I agree with these skills you've mentioned and indeed, #6 can be highly underrated. What I found out while I was working and playing around with AI tools is that my experience as a developer before the rise of AI holds a huge power and it's interesting to see how shifts towards these new trends.

Yeah, it will be very interesting in the next few years to see how we can learn from each other (engineers before we had gen ai adoption, and those who became engineers after).
